Join us on Sunday, June 14th, from 5.00pm - 8.00pm for the Northumberland Humane Society’s inaugural Rainbow Bridge Walk 4 Paws.
Inspired by the idea of the Rainbow Bridge - a place where cherished pets are remembered and celebrated - this walk, proudly sponsored by The Cobourg Pet Nanny, offers participants the opportunity to reflect, share stories, and celebrate the unconditional love our animals bring into our lives. Whether you’re walking in memory of a pet, alongside your current furry companion, or simply in support of animal welfare, every step helps create a brighter future.
Funds raised through the walk directly support the care, shelter, rehabilitation, and rehoming of animals in need at the Northumberland Humane Society.
From remembrance to rescue. the Rainbow Bridge Walk 4 Paws transforms love and loss into hope - helping more animals find their way home.
How You Can Participate
✅ Register to walk! Registration is only $10 per person, under 10’s are FREE
✅Ask your family & friends to sponsor you as you walk in memory of a beloved pet - raise $100 or more and receive a RBW Memorial T-shirt!
✅Be sure to send in your sponsorships through e-transfer by JUNE 1st to receive your t-shirt in time to wear it to the event! You can also bring everything with you to the event or drop it off at the NHS Thrift Store, 24 Covert St, Cobourg. Download your sponsor sheet here🐾

🌈To honour your beloved pets, we will have a beautiful PET MEMORIAL area at the Rainbow Bridge Walk 4 Paws. If you’d like your pet included, please upload their photo and information with your registration - it is included in the form.
What to Expect at RBW4P 2026
🌈Registration opens - 5.00 PM
🐾Opening remarks - 6.00 PM
🐕Walk starts - 6.30 PM
🌈The walk route is family-friendly and accessible. Starting at the Lions Pavilion at Victoria Park, we will walk along the beautiful waterfront in Cobourg with our many coloured light-up necklaces to create a beautiful rainbow of our own in memory of our beloved pets.
🌈 The route continues past the marina, along the boardwalk to Ontario St. From there participants head up Ontario St to Clyde St and down to Peace Park, where there will be a water station for pets and people to stay hydrated!
🌈The route then follows the same path to return back to Victoria Park.
🐕Closing remarks & 50/50 draw - 7.30-7.45 PM (Or when the walkers have all returned)
