Happy Tails & Second Chances💗
Sally came to us after she was seized by animal welfare after years of neglect and abuse. Used only for breeding. Never shown kindness. Never shown love.
When she arrived, trust was something she didn’t yet know how to give. Humans had only ever failed her. For a full year, she stayed with us, slowly learning that gentle hands exist, that safety is real, and that love doesn’t have to hurt. Day by day, she healed. Day by day, her heart opened.
And then… her happy ending came.
An incredible family saw past her past and chose her. Today, Sally is finally home — loved, safe, and cherished.

“My son Bruin and I adopted Bruce a little over a year ago! We are still learning about each other, but he's been smelling the tulips ever since! I would definitely tell anyone that adoption is the best option!
You save a life! He has become so much more for me than just a dog. He's a challenge...but I love him, and he's worth it!”

Scoop
“One evening, while watching global news, we came across a heartwarming news piece about Christmas puppies. The segment highlighted the need for families to adopt these adorable pups. Intrigued, we decided to follow (NHS) and discovered so many beautiful puppies. Among them, Scoop, aka The Snowman, captured our hearts.
When we finally met Scoop, we were instantly smitten. He was so small and adorable when we finally adopted him on January 14th. In just over five weeks he has taken over our hearts as he’s grown into such a loving, outgoing, and joyful bundle of energy. Scoop is such a social butterfly as we quickly discovered everywhere we went. But he not only adores us but everyone else he meets.
His playful nature shines through in his love for jumping and engaging in tug-of-war. He’s always inseparable, and you’ll often find him snuggling into one or both of us on the couch. We couldn’t imagine our lives without Scoop.”

“We welcomed our very sweet, handsome and very smart Cooper (a.k.a. Jude) in January of this year. We couldn't imagine our life without him! He greets everyone he meets with lots of hugs and kisses and we are stopped constantly by people admiring how handsome he is and well-mannered. Initially, he had some reactivity to other animals but with the help of an amazing trainer he has improved ten-fold and continues to everyday.
He loves his walks and especially his drives with my husband...even for coffee runs in the morning! Thank you again Krystyne for your help through the adoption process.”
Please consider adoption....it is the best!”

Marty
“We adopted Marty, full name Marty McFly, aka Noodle, aka The World’s Most Handsome Man, aka Marty Man, aka MARTYN!!, 5 years ago when the shelter was still on Ward St. He basically climbed into my arms for a hug and never left!
He is the most loving dog, although his listening ears don’t seem to work all the time, he makes friends wherever he goes. We just love him and are thankful we found him at the Humane Society. He was the missing piece of our family puzzle.”
