Volunteer at the Shelter – Make a Pawsitive Impact
The Northumberland Humane Society relies on dedicated volunteers to help provide the best possible care for the animals in our shelter. Whether you're walking dogs, spending time socializing with cats, or lending a hand around the facility, your time directly improves the lives of pets waiting for their forever homes.
Volunteering with us is a rewarding way to make a difference — and it’s a great way to connect with animals and your community.
How You Can Help
Dog Walking – Provide daily exercise, fresh air, and one-on-one attention to our shelter dogs.
Cat Enrichment – Spend quality time cuddling, playing, or simply sitting with cats to help reduce stress and build trust.
Shelter Support – Assist with cleaning, organizing supplies, or other daily tasks that help keep our shelter running smoothly.
