This year, the Northumberland Humane Society is celebrating its 60th Anniversary, and we want you - our community friends and partners - to join the celebration by hosting your own PUP-cake Day Bake Sale or Cupcake Paw-ty!
Whisk up some excitement in your school, workplace, or at home, by baking some tail-wagging treats, all sprinkled with love and compassion for our shelter animals.

What is “PUP-cake” Day?
🧁Started by the Ontario SPCA & Humane Society as Cupcake Day (which we are calling it PUP-cake Day!) - is happening on Monday, February 23rd - and is a day of sweet fundraising for animals in need. It’s the perfect opportunity for our community to show off those baking skills and support our shelter, one delicious sweet treat at a time!
PUP-cake Day is a fun and friendly bake sale that helps support the incredible work of the Northumberland Humane Society.
How you can take part:
🧁During the week of February 23-27th, choose a day that works best for you, your school. or your business (Although why wait till February, if January works better for you!)
🥯Bake your culinary creations and mouthwatering masterpieces
🥧Hold a bake sale for families, your colleagues, or school community
🎉Celebrate the difference you are making for the NHS
PUP-cake Day is easy to organise, flexible, and perfect for getting everyone involved - from kindergarten and beyond! It’s a wonderful way to mix learning, creativity, and giving back.
We would love to have you join us in baking for a brilliant cause and have created an easy-to-use media toolkit, for you to customize with your school or business logo and details. Registration is NOT required to participate but is strongly recommended. Upon registration you will receive a link to access the PUP-cake Day resources and we would be thrilled to help promote your event across our social media and website!
