March was a busy and exciting month at the Northumberland Humane Society and April is continuing to be so!

Thanks to the support of our volunteers, donors, foster families, adopters, and community partners, we are able to make a difference in for the animals in our care all month long💚

Spring Is In The Air (Maybe?)

As the days grow longer and we hope, warmer, we are seeing more animals arrive in our care and more families looking to adopt. March was full of happy tails, generous support, and the start of some exciting fundraising events to help us continue our work!

Auction 4 Paws Kicked Off!

Our online Auction 4 Paws launched at noon on March 27th, and the response from our community has been incredible. With everything from pet items and original Canadian art, to unique treasures and designer finds, there’s something for everyone! New items continue to be added, and to allow for the Easter holiday - bidding has been extended until April 13th! So continue to share with your friends and family, and remember to check daily for new finds - Happy Bidding!

Purdys 4 Paws Was a Sweet Success

Thank you to everyone who supported our Purdys 4 Paws fundraiser in time for Easter. By purchasing delicious chocolates, you helped raise much needed funds. We are so grateful to everyone who ordered, shared the fundraiser, and encouraged others to participate.

Did you know?

Since January 1st, nearly 100 animals have found their new homes through the Northumberland Humane Society.

From playful puppies and curious kittens, to senior pets looking for a second chance, every adoption is a reminder of what is possible when a community comes together to support animals in need.

• Community events - come and join us on April 15th at Connect - held at Port Hope High School and on April 20th at Beagles & Baseball with the Capital Theatre
