As winter continues, love was certainly in the air at the Northumberland Humane Society! February was all about second chances, happy endings, and the incredible community that makes our work possible.

🦴Happy Tails: Cooper & Scoop Found Their Forever Homes!

Nothing warms our hearts more than sharing adoption stories — and this month we’re celebrating TWO very special happy endings!

🐶 Cooper (AKA Jude) has officially found his forever family! This sweet boy captured hearts with his gentle personality and wagging tail, and we couldn’t be happier knowing he’s now soaking up love (and probably treats!) in his new home.

🐶Scoop (AKA The Snowman) was one of 14 puppies dropped off at the NHS in December, and we are delighted to share this sweet baby got the best Christmas present ever! Scoop was adopted by a wonderful couple who are providing Scoop with the loving home he deserves.

To Cooper & Scoop - we wish lifetimes of happiness, of ear scratches, treats, and the best belly rubs!

💗Feeling the LOVE this season!

February reminds us that love changes lives - and we are so grateful to have met some inspiring young people who want to be part of that change.

A huge Thank You to TCS student Florentine, who chose to support the NHS through a class project, “Hearts and Minds” - aimed at supporting local causes and the community.

Florentine, with help from her friends, baked simple, healthy, 3-ingredient dog treats, for sale in our thrift store. Treats are now sold out - thank you for the support!

Please meet the Brighton Public School Community Club! This wonderful bunch of students raised over $680 with an in-school Candy Gram fundraiser. So sweet!
